(Nashville & Chattanooga Railroad) Estell Springs, N.&C.R.R., Mar 23, 1863. Unusually choice station oval with manuscript "Due 10c" rating; soldier endorsement at top from Capt. Frazer to his wife, Mrs. Letitia S. Frazer, Tyner's Station, Tennessee, directed "Via Chattanooga,” slightly reduced at right, Very Fine, CSA Catalog $1,500. Ex Oswald and Hannen, signed Brian Green. $1,500.

Charles W. Frazer (1834-1897), of Memphis, Tenn., was a 26-year-old lawyer when he enlisted June 14, 1861, as a captain. He was commissioned into Co. I, Tennessee 21st Infantry. He was wounded at Belmont, Missouri, November 7, 1861, and again at Murfreesboro December 31, 1862. He was taken prisoner September 15, 1863 and confined to Johnson’s Island where he took the oath of allegiance June 11, 1865. He was promoted to Major and Assistant Adjutant General. His wife was Letitia Austin; they had three children together.
