Stage Coach Coupon issued by Quartermaster's Department, C.S.A. from Albany, Georgia. Partly printed coupon completed in manuscript, dated Jan 13 with 1864 printed and ms. corrected to 1865, 2" x 3.25". "No. 3640" for four seats on a stage coach from Albany to Bainbridge. Stamped boldly on the face: "Capt. R.K. Hines, A.Q.M." in fancy frame. A wonderful collectible item. $200.

R.K. Hines was commissioned on May 15, 1862, as captain of company D, 32nd Georgia Infantry. He resigned his commission to take effect on July 1, 1863. Thereafter, he was appointed captain and assistant quartermaster assigned to duty at Albany, Ga., on June 18, 1863, and was on duty there until January 30, 1865.
