Dr. Henry Gresham (1833-1883) was a Brigade Surgeon in and around Tappahannock, Va. during the Civil War; his wife was Laura Jones Gresham (1834-1912). He enlisted as a surgeon and was commissioned into Field & Staff of the Virginia 55th Infantry, Army of Northern Virginia. He resigned May 31, 1862, but later served on the Medical Examining Board of the 1st Congressional District, Essex County Virginia.
