Chastain White (1823-1879) represented Hanover County as a member of the Virginia State House of Delegates 1850/51, 1852 (Jan), 1853/54; as well as serving as a Member of the Senate 1855/56 and 1857/58. He was listed as a lawyer in the 1860 and 1870 U.S. Census records. He is buried in Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond.
