This is a small unincorporated community in Botetourt County; An 1855 Virginia Statistical Gazetteer noted that it was a post-village, also known as Dibrell’s Springs, where "extensive buildings have been erected for the entertainment of the public.” It is part of the series of mineral springs in the area useful for treatment of several unnamed diseases.
