Fletcher Harris Archer (1813-1902) was a Petersburg lawyer. He was the Lt Col of the Third Virginia Infantry but was dropped at the May 1862 reorganization. He later commanded the Third Battalion of Virginia Reserves in 1864. After the war, he served as mayor of Petersburg. More interesting biographical war data enclosed with the lot.
