Branch, Oakville, Appomattox, Va., something lightly penned under the verse, but I can’t make it out, Ex Meroni and David Burton. $950.

Richard H. Branch was 22 years old when he enlisted on July 15, 1862, at Pitt County, NC as a private; he mustered into Company D, North Carolina 3rd Infantry, Army of Northern Virginia, Jackson’s Corps, D.H. Hill’s Division, Ripley’s Brigade.
