Castle, 128th O.V.I. (page 189), whose examined markings are recorded as August 23-November 3, 1864. This one, however, is dated January 16 (undoubtedly 1865) and thus THE LATEST KNOWN USE. Light staining on stamps which does not detract from this otherwise clean cover. $900.

Ann E. Barnett (born 1850) was one of ten children of Charles H. Barnett and his first wife, Elizabeth Ann Ledbetter. Mr. Barnett was twelve years a magistrate of Allegheny district, 1854-65, and seven years postmaster, 1873-81. His was one of the best farms in the county, 400 well-stocked acres choice for farming. The Barnett House, built in 1808, was also known as Big Spring. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
