Dr. Henry Clay Sommerville (1834-1918) was an Assistant Surgeon in the Confederate Army during the war. He served in various places in Virginia including, Richmond, Liberty, Danville, and Lynchburg. He practiced medicine in Clark County, Virginia after the war.
