David Crenshaw Barrow, Sr. (1815-1899) was a planter in Oglethorpe County and Athens, Georgia. He married Sarah Pope (d. 1855), daughter of Middleton Pope. Their children included David Crenshaw (Jr.), James Middleton Pope, Thomas A., Clara Elizabeth, Ella Patience (Spalding), and Lucy M. (Cobb). Father and Son papers are housed at UGA, Hargrett Libraries. He was invested in a Florida salt works during the Civil War.
