Capt. John W. Bell (1824-1864) served in Company H, 32nd Alabama Infantry, Army of Tennessee, which he commanded. He died 14 February 1864 at Cassville, Georgia, presumably of disease. There are 97 records in his NARA file, most of which are requisitions. Some of his wartime papers are at LSU.
